Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I have my vehicle serviced?
As a rule of thumb vehicles should be serviced every 10,000km or every 6 months depending on which occurs first. Vehicle servicing preserves the life of your engine and ensures it is running safely and efficiently. Vehicle servicing can help prevent inconvenient and costly break downs and any issues are picked up before they become more serious.
Is a wheel alignment really necessary?
New tyres are an investment, in order to protect your investment and get the most wear possible out of your tyres it pays to ensure the angles of your wheels are relative to each other and the body of your vehicle. Hitting potholes, curbs and having minor accidents can all throw out your alignment resulting in uneven wearing of your tyres.

Having regular alignments especially when putting new tyres on, ensures your suspension and steering components last longer and your tyres last longer and wear evenly.

What’s the difference between an entry level and premium tyre?
Buying new tyres can sometimes seem like the necessary evil of owning a vehicle.

Scott Armstrong the test driver for Continental, a world renowned tyre brand, said, Tyres determine 50% of a cars feeling and characteristics while driving.

Premium tyres may cost more to start with but because they are made to a much higher standard they will last significantly longer, help your vehicle consume less fuel, maximise safety on the road and reduce road noise while travelling.

How often should I replace my cambelt?
The general rule is every 100,000km or every 5 years depending on which comes first. The cambelt is in charge of the engine timing, if the cambelt snaps the timing is thrown out and the engine is exposed to damage resulting in a very expensive repair bill. Better to be safe rather than sorry when it comes to replacing cambelts.
